After Tsodilo
A visit to the rock-painted sacred site in th extreme north-east of Botswana
A trip to Botswana over the holiday break meant an opportunity to finally visit the marvellous Tsodilo Hills, with its 4 000-odd rock paintings, in the extreme north-west of the country. Tsodilo, an unusually vertical place in the endless horizontal space which is Botswana, has enigmatic rock faces, gnarly trees and paths dotted with elephant and leopard footprints, is a marvel. Throw in some really weird and wacky rock art and the place is a marvel. Here are some of my own drawings, inspired by what I saw at Tsodilo.
Thanks to expert guide Kabo Kelebetse, who knows where this bounty is hidden.
